- Boost employees’ skills, knowledge and confidence with refresher courses
- Keep training costs down with unlimited access to a full range of relevant material
- Monitor training progress at a glance, including individual scores and who needs to re-sit

Cost-effective, time-efficient employee development
At Ellis Whittam, we understand that taking time out for employee training isn’t always possible. Nevertheless, as an employer, you want to know that your staff are fully equipped to undertake their duties confidently and compliantly – and that your business is protected – without affecting productivity or spending a fortune.
e-Learning is the perfect solution. Not only is it more cost-effective than classroom training, but it keeps downtime to a minimum, puts employees in charge of their own development, and allows training to be completed at a pace that suits each individual and with minimal disruption to their daily work role.

Common e-Learning queries and questions about our course offering, answered by our Employment Law and HR specialists.
What types of courses are available?
Our ever-growing library of e-Learning courses currently covers over 100 topics, including HR courses such as Equality & Diversity, Sexual Harassment and Social Media Use; soft skills courses such as Communication, Leadership and Change Management, and compliance courses such GDPR, Anti-Money Laundering and the Bribery Act. We also offer an extensive range of Health & Safety courses, including Accident Reporting, Risk Assessment and First Aid. Download the full course catalogue.
Who is e-Learning suitable for?
Everyone, whether they work part-time, full-time or from home can take advantage of web-based learning. You can choose what courses to assign and who to assign them to – some courses may be applicable to employees, some may be more suited to managers and some may be relevant to both.
How are courses assigned?
Managers will have the ability to assign relevant courses to individuals based on the specifics of their role and their training needs. They can then monitor each person’s progress and see scores at a glance.
Can we set our own pass scores?
Yes, unlike some online training options, with e-Learning you can set your own pass score for each course to suit your requirements.
I have a particular course in mind but don’t see it listed. Can you help?
We offer a variety of specialist courses available upon special request. If you don’t see the course you’re looking for in our standard course library, speak to our e-Learning experts on 0345 226 8393.
Can you deliver classroom training, too?
Yes. We offer a range of expert-led HR training courses for managers, as well as IOSH-accredited and our own Health & Safety training courses for all employees, managers and directors, both of which can be delivered at your premises or off site at a location of your choice.
How much do the courses cost?
All of our e-Learning courses are free for the first year when you purchase our Employment Law & HR or Health & Safety managed service. This means you’re not paying per head or per course, which not only keeps down but gives you complete cost certainty over your training expenses. This is particularly handy if your workforce is growing, as you won’t need to purchase extra licenses, giving you exceptional value for money.
Do you have training that covers COVID-19 and its implications?
Yes. We’ve recently added three brand-new courses: COVID Response for Leaders, COVID Response for Managers, and COVID Response for Employees. These are designed to help leaders work with their managers and employees to create a COVID-secure workplace and provide guidance on identifying and assessing the risks of COVID-19 transmission. We’ve also added 14 refresher courses to help employees get back to work with renewed safety awareness.
