Gain an invaluable insight into Employment Tribunal preparation and procedure by attending a “mock” Employment Tribunal hearing. With Tribunal claim numbers rising following the Supreme Court’s decision to abolish fees, attending a mock Tribunal will help you prepare for your first (or next) Tribunal case.
The case will be based on sexual harassment in the workplace and the Claimant will be bringing claims for sexual harassment and constructive unfair dismissal. You will hear evidence, cross-examination, submissions and the ‘Judge’s’ decision based on a difficult scenario facing many businesses.
Prior to the event, you will be provided with a Tribunal bundle and witness statements, just as you would for a real-life case, which will allow you to play an interactive role on the day and follow the paperwork throughout the session. We will have barristers playing the roles of the Claimant’s representative, the Respondent’s representative and the Employment Judge to make the experience as authentic as possible. Members from Ellis Whittam’s legal team will be playing the roles of the witnesses.
At the end of the hearing, you will be invited to make your own judgment as to the outcome of the case before hearing the decision from the Judge.
