Following 12 months of disruption, UK charities will finally be able to resume a full range of fundraising activities and community services in the coming months, starting with the return of non-essential retail from 12 April.
With preparations underway, what guidance do charities need to adhere to in order to reopen shops and office premises safely and compliantly? And what challenges can you expect to face when it comes to vaccination, furlough and the revival of large organised events?
The third sector has been put under immense strain over the past 12 months. A combination of retail and community service closures, in addition to the cancellation of all in-person events, has caused many charitable organisations to reassess the way they operate in order to survive.
