The financial impact of coronavirus continues to force many employers to consider redundancy as a necessary means of ensuring longer-term business sustainability. Whilst COVID-19 may be directly responsible for these difficult decisions, it doesn’t negate the requirement to provide a fair redundancy process to employees. Remember, if you are making 20 or more employees redundant, you have a legal duty to collectively consult.
